Cartridge Replacement

  • Replacement Cartridge
  • Anti-theft Torx key T30 
  • Anti-theft Torx key T10

Step 1

Before the cartridge can be removed from the top tube, the seat post needs to be removed. Release the seat post clamp using the Torx T30 key and remove the seat post and saddle.

Remove the four anti-theft Torx screws using the Torx T10 key. Keep all for screws, they will be needed later on.

Use your thumbs in the eat post opening to push the Smart Cartridge out of the bike frame. This may require some force.

Gently slide the new Smart Cartridge into the top tube. Make sure the Smart Cartridge is instered all the way into the top tube. 

 

Step 5

Replace and tighten the four Torx screws using the anti-theft Torx T10 key.

Place the seat post and saddle at your desired height and tighten the anti-theft Torx screw using the Torx T30 key.
